Individuals interested in majoring or minoring in Sport Management will obtain a wealth of...

content knowledge and can experience the behind the scene view of sport. This degree will provide a comprehensive overview of everything from accounting and marketing to sport psychology and facility management. Majoring in Sport Management may lead to various career opportunities that may include working for: professional sport organizations, high school or college athletic departments, health and fitness business, parks, recreation and tourism, as well as sport communication and or sport agencies. Our students who major in Sport Management can also take advantage of gaining a minor in Business by taking a limited number of additional Business courses.


The internship course is worth 6 credit hours and is a graduation requirement that can be completed during any semester once a student reaches senior status. Students are expected to complete a minimum of 270 contact hours with their internship site. This experience will allow students to connect their coursework and previous experiential learning opportunities together to create a bridge to jump start their professional careers.
