The primary purpose of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society
is to confer distinction upon students who wish to pursue English majors,
minors, and concentrations and who also achieve high standards of
excellence in their college careers. 

At Newberry College, there are currently eleven members in the Alpha Gamma Eta
chapter of Sigma Tau Delta: Jeffrey Bell, Dale Brown, Lauren Carbonell, John
Carenen, Paige Derrick, Whitney Kibler, Katherine Kidd, Beth Morris,

Jenn Richards, Sandra Smith, and Nancy Warren.
