ROTC Scholarships and Tuition Assistance

Army ROTC scholarships offer a wide range of options and can pay up to 100% tuition, room & board, and other expenses. Tuition assistance includes up to $1,200 per year for books and a monthly stipend.

To be eligible for an ROTC scholarship, you must generally:

• Be between the ages of 17 and 27
• Possess a high school diploma, or equivalent
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
• Be medically qualified through the Department of Defense Medical Evaluation Review Board (DODMERB)
• Be able to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test
• Have no moral obligations or personal conviction that will prevent you from supporting and defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and conscientiously bearing arms.

Responsibilities of scholarship recipients:

• Must make a commitment of 8 years military service (4 years active/4 years active or reserve) upon college graduation.
• A Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD) option is available.
• Must attend the 4-week Leadership Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) usually between junior and senior year of college.
• Students can earn additional money in the SMP, a volunteer officer training program that allows Army National Guard and Army Reserve enlisted members to participate in the Advanced ROTC Program.
