Homecoming 2014 – The Sounds of Newberry

We're pleased to announce a Sounds of Newberry College theme for Homecoming 2014. If you haven’t already done so, please mark your calendar to join us October 17-19,2014, as we have a very special Homecoming planned.

To go along with this year’s theme, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Department of Music are teaming up with the goal of having an alumni chorus and an alumni band perform Saturday, October 18.

If you are interested in taking part in the music festivities, contact Alumni Coordinator, Jeff Wicker, at 803.321.5676 or jeffrey.wicker@newberry.edu. Please indicate if you are interested in the band and/or choral performance. If you are a former band member, please indicate which instrument you will be bringing to play. If you're interested in the choral performance, please indicate which part you sing.

We are eagerly anticipating Homecoming 2014, and we hope that you will make plans to join us.

You're Invited - Newberry College Alumni Activities

The Newberry College athletic department and office of alumni relations are teaming up to host a social networking event for alumni who entered the coaching profession at the 2014 South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Clinic on Monday, July 28.

The event is scheduled for 7-9 p.m. that day on the second floor of the Carolina Ale House in downtown Greenville, nearby to all downtown lodging options. The free event will feature food and drinks.

With six weeks to go until the event, nearly 200 Newberry College alumni have been identified in the coaching profession. At this point, identification has mainly been a word of mouth process and we are sure there are more alumni in the coaching profession. Please help us spread the word to any coaching alumni you may be in contact with.

While attendance to the event is free, we ask that attendees RSVP with Jeff Wicker in the office of alumni relations (321-5676, jeffrey.wicker@newberry.edu) so we can gather an accurate head count for the venue.

Current Newberry College coaches from a variety of sports will attend the social and will also man the Newberry College booth at the clinic on Sunday and Monday.

This event will be a great way to connect with old friends, engage in professional networking and interact with College staff. We hope to see you there!
