This ceremony, which includes the blessing of the rings, is sponsored by the Alumni Association. Ring recipients, their sponsors and families, faculty and staff, and the Alumni Association Board of Managers are invited. A reception will follow the ceremony. Reservations are requested.

1:00 p.m. Golf Tournament
The Newberry College Athletic Club would like to invite you to participate in our Homecoming Golf Tournament to benefit the College's athletic programs. The tournament will be held on October 3rd on the Newberry Country Club golf course. Following completion of the tournament, we welcome you to join us for awards, an auction, and dinner.
The cost for the tournament is $125 a person. However, we are offering a special "Young Alumni Rate" of $50 for the first eight 2002-2008 Newberry graduates who register. Registration begins at 12:00 p.m., and there will be a Shot-Gun start at 1:00 p.m.
Also, keep an eye out during Homecoming for the auctioning of old Newberry College Indian memorabilia. Items in the auction include the full size wooden Indian from MacLean Gymnasium, the Indian head located outside of Kaufmann Dining Hall, and the Indian head located at Holland Hall in the Admissions department. The auctioning of these items will take place during Homecoming week, but we will be taking bids on these items during the tournament.

$10 per person. Sponsored by the President’s Club, the lawn party and class reunions are complimentary for alums.Alumni and Friends will gather for fellowship, food, a cash bar, and music. Classes are encouraged to hold their reunions at the Alumni House at this time. Special set-up arrangements need to be made through the Alumni Relations Office for classes holding reunions at the Lawn Party.

Saturday, October 4

Tents will be set up in advance for the following graduating classes who are celebrating special anniversary years: Golden Newberrian Alumni (50+ years), 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, and 2003.
Members of these classes are encouraged to meet classmates under their tents between Yost Portico and the fountain. The Dufford Alumni House will be open all day beginning at 10 a.m. for tours and for those who want a place to rest, relax, and chat with friends. The House is located at 1900 College Street. Nearby parking lots are available.

Do you remember hanging out with friends when you lived on campus? When was the last time you visited one of the residence halls or toured Newberry’s newest residence hall? Relive your favorite memories and see how things have changed by visiting the residence halls on Saturday, October 4th before the Homecoming game. All of our residence halls will be open for alums, and the latest hall updates will be available for viewing.

All alumni of Newberry College are members of the Newberry College Alumni Association. You are asked to join us for the annual gathering. You will be greeted by Rev. John Derrick, Director of Alumni and Church Relations; your new Alumni Association President, Mr. Brent Weaver; and Newberry College President, Dr. Mitchell Zais. Awards will be presented to outstanding alumni, mementos will be given to the milestone year graduates, and alumni scholarship recipients will be recognized.
A photograph of those attending the gathering will be taken immediately following the program. Reunion class photos will be taken upon request.

Tickets ($18 each) may be ordered in advance from the Athletic Department or with your Homecoming Registration.
Half-time activities include music by the marching band, presentation of the Homecoming Court, and the crowning of the Homecoming Queen.
