The Alumni Association at Newberry College has existed since 1879. It exists to foster alumni identity, information sharing, interest, involvement, and investment in support of Newberry College. Among its specific purposes are:

• Promote fellowship
• Increase loyalty
• Unite alumni and friends
• Link alumni with students and the College
• Assist in providing an atmosphere for scholarly efforts
• Assist in recruiting students
• Support the aims of the College
• Help with the expansion of the achievements and influence of Newberry College

Twelve Rules for a Good Alumnus

1. Keep your address, phone number, e-mail address, career, education and family changes up to date. (Use the Web site, e-mail, phone, or postal service)
2. Display your diploma in your home or office.
3. Wear your NC alumni pin.
4. Display a NC decal on your car.
5. Participate in alumni activities.
6. Recruit students.
7. Contribute each year.
8. Read Dimensions, the Web page, the e-mail newsletter, and special mail.
9. Come back for Homecoming and other special events and bring others.
10. Encourage classmates to stay in touch.
11. Send notes about alumni stars so we can tell the good news.
12. Volunteer to help us keep up with your class, area, or group.
