Dr. Timothy G. Elston has been appointed Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Newberry College. He has served in this position on an interim basis since July 2011.

The committee was co-chaired by Dr. Betsy McDowell, Professor and Chair of the Department of Nursing and Dr. Joseph Franklin, Professor and Chair of the Business, Behavioral and Social Sciences Department.
“After a thorough evaluation process with multiple inputs from the College community, it became clear to the Vetting Committee that Dr. Elston was the unanimous choice for the position of Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the College.
