Newberry College Jazz Big Band to Perform on Spring Tour

NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Newberry College Jazz Big Band will be traveling throughout the Carolinas, performing free concerts at local churches, and conducting music workshops for students at local high schools.
An invitation is extended to those who not only like listening to the sounds of jazz and big band music, but area high school students who have an interest and talent in music and are looking for a college to attend with a strong music department.
The Jazz Big Band is made up of students from Newberry College with varying majors who will present the very best in big band, swing, jazz and ballads.

Sun., Feb. 5 at 2:00 p.m. - Christ Lutheran Church, Charlotte, N.C.

Mon., Feb. 6 at 7:00 p.m. - St. Peters Lutheran Church, Lexington, S.C.

Tues., Feb. 7 at 7:00 p.m. - St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Goose Creek, S.C.
High School Concerts:

Mon., Feb. 6 at 1:15 p.m. - White Knoll High School, Lexington, S.C.

Tues., Feb. 7 at 11:00 a.m. - Pelion High School, Pelion, S.C.

Tues., Feb. 7 at 1:45 p.m. - Lexington High School, Lexington, S.C.

Wed., Feb. 8 at 11:00 a.m. - Wade Hampton High School, Hampton, S.C.
