    Newberry College graduate Kayla Knight has received the Educational Testing Service Recognition of Excellence (ROE), an honor awarded to test takers who rank in the top 15% of all Praxis scores.

    The nursing program at Newberry College, which was approved by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina in 2009, has now received national accreditation through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Board of Commissioners, the College announced today.

    Newberry College’s May Commencement was held Saturday, May 7, in Eleazer Arena on the Newberry College campus. The commencement address was delivered by environmental expert and PBS personality Rudolph E. (Rudy) Mancke.

    Dr. Lisa Waller, assistant professor of education at Newberry College, has been selected as a participant in the U.S. Navy’s Leaders-to-Sea program which educates leaders from all sectors – corporate, civic, government, education, non-profit, and service – on the collaboration that takes place among the Navy’s key players.

    Macroeconomics students at Newberry College have recently completed projects conducting an economic impact study on the College and the surrounding area.
