On the campus of NEWBERRY COLLEGE, it has been determined that involvement for most students occurs in small groups. Students begin to make their connection with the institution from their involvement with Academic, Civic, Service, Greek, Recreational, and Religious organizations.
The Office of Student Activities along with the Division of Student Affairs supports the ideology of creating a structure to enhance small group interaction. The Indian Pride Program was developed to increase involvement on campus and to empower all Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) to become stronger.
A Recognized Student Organization (RSO) is defined as any group that has completed the necessary guidelines set by the Office of Student Activities and approved by the Student Life Committee.
