INTRAMURAL RACQUETBALL RULES
RULES
 Participants
must all be Newberry College student, faculty or staff
members.
 Points
are only scored by the player serving.
 Games
will be played to 15 points; the winner must win by
two points.
 The
server may stand in any part of the service zone.
 He/she
must bounce the ball on the floor and hit it to the
front wall first, and the ball must rebound over the
service line without hitting the floor. The legal serve
can be either a straight rebound from the front wall
or a combination with one side wall, hitting the floor
past the service line. Any other serve is illegal.
 Players
may return the ball to the front wall with the ball
hitting any combination of walls as long as the ball
does not touch the floor before hitting the front wall.
 If
the ball is touched with any part of the body during
the return, it is a side out or a point.
 Interference
may be called if the opposing player obstructs a players
chance to receive the ball.
GAMES
 No
referee will be present and decisions will be made fairly
by each player.
 Each
participant must be ready at their designated game time,
if not, a forfeit will be
awarded.
