Criminal Justice

The study of Criminal Justice is rooted here in the liberal arts tradition with an interdisciplinary study of the components of the CRJ system and how the system enforces laws; protects society; and ensures justice while caring for the victim, promoting fairness; and accountability and rehabilitation of the offender.

  • Students improve interpersonal communication, honing their ability to write and speak concisely and effectively
  • Students will learn to view crime, victimization, and justice from both a legal, research, and human perspective.
  • Experiential learning opportunities include field trips, conferences, speakers, working a mock crime scene, and an internship or capstone project.
