Health Science

The Health Science program provides a flexible, science‑based foundation for students pursuing careers in healthcare, community health, and allied health fields. With a broad curriculum covering human biology, healthcare-related topics, and evidence‑based practice, students gain the knowledge and skills needed for today’s growing health professions. Dedicated faculty advisors and pre‑professional advisors work closely with students to help them identify career goals and complete the necessary prerequisites for admission into graduate and allied health programs. Through experiential learning experiences and a capstone project, students gain meaningful experience that prepares them for advanced study and diverse healthcare career pathways.

The Health Science major offers a broad-based curriculum that is ideal for students interested in health-related careers but who don't need the specialized focus required of other science majors. The major also is structured to satisfy the prerequisites for entry into most Allied Health programs.
