Start Your Own Business!
Developed by the Palmetto Innovation Center and hosted by Newberry College’s Department of Business, we are offering a program that teaches business development alongside technology-centric workshops with core cohorts.
This entrepreneurship certification program, called the Propel Business Lab, is a 10-week business accelerator program for emerging entrepreneurs of all experience levels. We focus on the challenges of doing business in our region, and the program helps clients turn ideas into revenue.
Newberry College will host a community-based program in the fall and a student-based program in the spring. All graduates are eligible to enter the Spring Pitch Contest hosted by Newberry College, and cash prizes will be awarded to help winners start a Newberry-based business.
Start Date: September 15th
Fee: $100, Military discount available.
Limited space available.
Community members who complete the Propel program and obtain their certification will be eligible to pitch their business in April 2027 for cash prizes!
