Baritone Thaddaeus Bourne maintains an active performance schedule in the U.S. and abroad. In the 2016-17 season he performed as Beclore in L’Elisir d’amore (Projekt Opera), El Dancaïro in Carmen(Long Island Opera), Charlie in Jake Heggie’s Three Decembers (Opera MODO), Paco in Man of La Mancha (Indianapolis Opera), Pirate King in Pirates of Penzance (Hendricks Symphony), Barone Douphol and Marchese d’Obigny in La Traviata (Erie Chamber Orchestra), as Mozart’s Don Giovanni (La Musica Lirica) and Il Conte Almaviva (Manhattan Opera Studio), and as a soloist at Earlham’s Opera Gala (Earlham College). In the 2015-16 season he performed as the baritone soloist in the Yellow River Cantata (The Confucius Institute), as a guest artist with the Misericordia Classical Series, as Reverend Hale in The Crucible (Hartford Opera Theatre), Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus(Martina Arroyo Foundation), and created the role of the Angel in William David Cooper’s Hagar(National Opera Convention). Other recent performances have included Bob in Menotti’s The Old Maid & the Thief (Opera Project Columbus), Happy in Puccini’s La fanciulla del West (Indianapolis Opera), a concert performance of scenes from Mozart operas at Lincoln Center, The father in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel (Connecticut Lyric Opera), Major-General Stanley in Pirates of Penzance (Simsbury Light Opera), and as a soloist with the Vernon Chorale (CT) in their performance of the Mozart Requiem.
