Bio:

A native of Darlington, South Carolina, Dr. Bridges earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, with a concentration in Human Resource Management, from Francis Marion University in 2014. He subsequently obtained a Master of Business Administration at Southern New Hampshire University in 2018. In 2025, Dr. Bridges received a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership from Columbia International University.

Before joining the faculty at Newberry College in 2022, Dr. Bridges held appointments as an Adjunct Professor of Business at both Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, and Virginia College in Florence, South Carolina. Additionally, he served as a Business Instructor within the Sumter County School District and Richland County School District Two. During his tenure in secondary education, he also served as an advisor for the South Carolina Chapter – Region II of DECA.

Dr. Bridges is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, through which he has mentored and empowered numerous young men via the national Project Alpha initiative. Prior to his transition into education, he held leadership roles within the retail sector at both local and regional levels.

His academic and instructional expertise encompasses a range of business disciplines, including Organizational Leadership, Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Personal Finance.
