Bio:

Dr. Sharp received his PhD from the University of Central Florida in Public Affairs with a concentration in Criminal Justice Administration.  His degrees also include a Master’s in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor’s in Criminology, and he is certified in Security Administration, Anti-Terrorism, and Force Management through the U.S. Army (where he retired in 2018).   He has experience in community corrections, mental health treatment, community policing, anti-terrorism, physical security, and facility management.  Dr. Sharp’s research interests include; crime prevention through environmental design, problem solving policing, terrorism and anti-terrorism, organizational leadership, and the treatment of mentally ill offenders.  Dr. Sharp has been married to his wife Michell for 23 years, and has 3 children (Luke - 29, Brianna – 17, Dylan – 3) and one granddaughter with a grandson on the way.
