Bio:
Amanda Coffey serves as adjunct faculty in the BSRT program at Newberry College. In 2024 she earned a master’s degree in respiratory care and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for 16 years. Out of the sixteen years, she has been working in education for the last 12 years. Her clinical background includes experience in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care, with the majority being in the specialty area of pediatrics. Healthcare is one of her passions and through clinical rotations, discovered her love for teaching as well. She has served in various capacities within the educational sector including adjunct faculty, faculty, and program director. Amanda believes in maintaining her professional membership with the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). She is also very active in the South Carolina Society for Respiratory Care (SCSRC) and served in various roles, including regional director, scholarship committee, program committee, and currently serves as Vice President.
