Bio:
Adele Ann Webb, PhD, RN, FNAP, FAAN, is an internationally recognized nurse executive, educator, scholar, and healthcare leader with more than four decades of experience advancing nursing education, workforce development, healthcare delivery, and global health. She serves as Executive Dean of Healthcare Initiatives at Capella University, providing strategic leadership at the intersection of healthcare, higher education, technology, and workforce transformation. Her expertise includes curriculum development, competency-based education, accreditation, nursing leadership, population health, and educational innovation.
Dr. Webb earned her PhD in Nursing from Wayne State University, an MS in Nursing Administration from The Ohio State University, and a BSN, summa cum laude, from the University of Akron. She is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Executive Nurse Fellow and International Council of Nurses Nurse Fellow.
Her career spans clinical practice, academia, executive leadership, public policy, and international consulting. She served as President and Executive Director of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care and has consulted for the World Health Organization and United Nations on nursing workforce development and global healthcare capacity building. She has provided expert testimony to the White House Office of National AIDS Policy and the Institute of Medicine.
An accomplished author, researcher, and international speaker, Dr. Webb has published extensively on nursing, healthcare, and workforce issues. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and National Academies of Practice, was named one of 100 Great Nurses in Ohio, and received the 2026 DAISY Award for Excellence in Nursing Education. Her career reflects an enduring commitment to developing nurse leaders, transforming education, strengthening the healthcare workforce, and improving health outcomes worldwide.
