About
WNIR-LP FM is the low-power FM radio station of Newberry College. It is available throughout Newberry at 95.5 FM, and is available online through wnirlp.com. You can also listen through the WNIR-LP app.
Since 2005, we have presented an eclectic slate of music and locally-produced programs on all kinds of subjects. We also provide emergency information to the local community as a relay for the Emergency Alert System over our FM signal.
During the school year, members of our student staff host their own music and talk programs. We also present programs produced by faculty and staff. You can catch up on those broadcasts in our archives.

How to Join WNIR-LP FM Staff (for students/faculty only)
We're always on the lookout for members of the Newberry College community who have a passion for local radio. If you'd like to join our staff, contact Dr. Jodie Peeler at jodie.peeler@newberry.edu. Someone from the station will get in touch with you and provide further information. There is a lot of responsibility involved in working for the station, so we do conduct interviews and require auditions of all candidates for the air staff. Be prepared to do your best.
