Lindsay to Spearhead Newberry College Alumni Engagement

January 16, 2020

NEWBERRY — Newberry College has appointed Newberry native Emma Lindsay as alumni engagement coordinator, effective Jan. 21.

“We are excited about the level of professional growth that Newberry College will be able to give to one of our very own,” said Lori Ann Vinson Summers, vice president for institutional advancement. “The college is lucky to have someone with Emma's experience and passion for the institution that will translate into meaningful engagement with our alumni.”

Lindsay graduated from Newberry in December with a degree in communications. She comes to her alma mater’s administrative staff from the Columbia-based nonprofit consulting firm 1000 Feathers, where she served as a public relations intern. She also brings communications and event planning experience from a previous stint with the South Carolina Republican Party.

As a student, Lindsay was active in the Blue Key Honor Society, Kappa Delta sorority and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

“This amazing opportunity will allow me to give back to the college that has given me so much over the last four years,” said Lindsay. “I cannot wait to get started and connect with each of my fellow alumni. I am truly blessed to be a part of this family.”
