Newberry College Hosts AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer

NEWBERRY, S.C. Newberry College is hosting an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer for the 2012- 2013 school year. Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) who dedicate a year of their lives to programs that deal with poverty or colleges that have community service programs. The current VISTA is Amanda McSwine, who will be working in the colleges Values Based Learning Program assisting the director, Dr. Joe McDonald by promoting service-learning and civic engagement among Newberry students, faculty and staff.
