Join us for the third annual Shedding Light on Human Trafficking & Exploitation Conference, set for Friday, April 17, at the Newberry College Center for Teacher Education, 1121 Speers St. The conference will feature sessions covering every aspect of human trafficking and providing resources on how to recognize and deal with exploitation in a variety of circumstances, including law, business, social services, nonprofits and more.
The event is open to the public and geared toward businesses, professionals and community leaders engaged in helping survivors and bringing offenders to justice. The conference has been approved for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits (6.5 hours); South Carolina Law Enforcement Continuing Education credits (6.5 hours); and Victim Service Provider credits (5 hours).
Registration Fee: $50.00 (which includes continuing education credits if indicated; continental breakfast; and boxed lunch). Please Note: An invoice for payment will be sent via email after submitting your registration.
