Sergeant Scott Johnson is no stranger to duty or responsibility. He completed his bachelor’s degree through Newberry College’s fastFORWARD program, a blended online program that enabled him to answer the call of duty to the National Guard while being responsible for his education.

When not on our court with the Wolves, Brunes is on the Newberry YMCA's court, teaching future Wolves how to play as part of a team. Off the court, he mentors boys at Newberry Elementary and Middle Schools, providing support and an example of what every kid strives to be – a hero worth emulating.
