Bio:
Professor Cynthia Haynes Eshleman joined Newberry College in 2018 after a distinguished legal career in both the private and public sectors. Haynes Eshleman is a three-time recipient of the Top Lawyer Main Line Today award. She is also an advocacy award recipient from the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of Philadelphia. She was a frequent lecturer with the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and various county bar associations. Her areas of research interest include intimate partner violence, human trafficking, child abuse, animal cruelty, juvenile justice, immigration, and due process.
She enjoys hiking in the North Carolina mountains; reading books; watching App State and Alabama football and Phillies baseball; horseback riding; spending time with her menagerie of pets and farm animals (many of which are rescues); drinking various coffees from around the world; campfires and s’mores; and most importantly, spending time with her family.
