Bio:
As a student, Carlton Kinard served as president of the Student Government Association and is an active and proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In August 2021, Kinard returned to his alma mater to serve as the program coordinator for the Muller Center. Carlton currently serves as the Associate Director for Campus and Community Engagement at the Muller Center.
A native of Newberry, South Carolina, Carlton Kinard made history as the youngest person elected to the Newberry City Council during a 2020 special election. He is a devoted member and trustee of New Enoree Baptist Church and currently serves as president of the Newberry County Branch of the NAACP. His commitment to community service is reflected in his involvement with numerous organizations, including the Rotary Club, Newberry County YMCA, Newberry Downtown Development Association, Newberry County Chamber of Commerce, Newberry County First Steps, Newberry County Young Professionals, and the GLEAMNS Human Resources Commission.
