Bio:

Serving as the Process Engineer of Track for Norfolk Southern Corporation in Atlanta, Ga., Michael E. Reid has played a vital role in the planning and execution of the Norfolk Southern Infrastructure Capital and Expense Improvement Programs. These programs range in the $500-700 million range on an annual basis and included 4500-7000 employees. He is a member of the Roadmasters Association, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association, and the AILG-Diversity Council of Atlanta, Ga

An active supporter of Newberry College, Reid is a former Board Member of the Family Association and worked with his wife to refurbish the Cromer Hall lobby. He has also helped organize and sponsor golf tournaments to raise money for the Kappa Alpha Chapter and Muscular Dystrophy Foundation and a golf tournament for the Newberry College Men's Basketball Program. In addition, he has organized and sponsored the endowment scholarship in honor of Martin Luther Denton.
