Bio:
Jennifer joined Newberry College’s full-time faculty in 2023 after serving as a college adjunct for 15 years, 2 years of which were served at Newberry College. Her higher education teaching experience includes mathematics, College Life, Introduction to Education, and Field Experience Supervisor for Secondary Mathematics Education Student Teachers. Her current research interest includes Building Community in the Classroom.
Prior to this, Jennifer taught for almost 10 years in public secondary education, including high school and middle school mathematics, as well as teaching Nemeth Code (Mathematics Braille) to students with visual impairments.
Jennifer and her husband, Shawn, have been married for over 30 years and enjoy empty nesting. They have 3 adult children, whom they homeschooled, and 2 grandchildren.
