Bio:

Jay Salter joined the College's marketing department after he graduated from Newberry College with a degree in political science. As a student, he was a member of the Newberry College Singers, the Newberry College Jazz Big Band, Young Americans for Liberty, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society, president of the junior class and student body vice president. He is a 2019 recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award and the Dr. L. Grady Cooper Award, and a 2018 inductee in Newberry College's Who's Who. He has also served on the Campus Disciplinary Board as a student as as a staff member.

Most recently. he was honored by the Newberry College Alumni Association with the Phillip T. Kelly, Jr. Outstanding Young Alumni Award, presented at Homecoming 2023.
