Bio:
Michelle Dawn Zornes an esteemed Adjunct Business Law instructor at Newberry College since January 2023, brings a wealth of expertise from her 25+ years of legal, academic, and business matters. Her diverse background encompasses corporate transactions, commercial real estate development, title insurance underwriting, insurance defense and human rights advocacy. This multifaceted experience extends to nonprofit and corporate settings, including business development of local Newberry companies, Komatsu America Corp. and Kiswire, Inc. under a former employer, Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, PA,, Columbia, SC. Additionally, her commitment to education, public service and community outreach is demonstrated in her role as a program director at a local nonprofit, Sistercare, Inc., Columbia, SC, which advocates for survivors of domestic violence. Her dedication to fostering civility and corporate responsibility is shared through her teaching, bridging theoretical foundations with real-world insights. As an instructor, she imparts students with the knowledge and values needed to thrive in legal and business domains.
