Dr. Barry McGinnis to Perform World Premiere Composition

Professor of Music, Dr. Barry McGinnis performed a recital at the recent North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference held in Lubbock, Texas. The recital was a world premiere of a piece composed for Dr. McGinnis by Dr. Howard Buss, titled "Alien Loop de Loops for Soprano Saxophone and Electronic Recording." Dr. McGinnis will perform this composition at Newberry College along with a new world premiere titled "Soundscapes for Saxophone and Drumset" along with Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. John Roberts on April 12 at 8 p.m. in the Alumni Music Center, West Memorial Recital Hall.
