March of Dimes Benefit Concert to be held April 1

The Department of Music at Newberry College and the Delta Omicron music fraternity, will be presenting a benefit concert for March of Dimes on Sunday, April 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the West Memorial Recital Hall of the Alumni Music Center. The concert will benefit the March of Dimes-March for Babies, which raises funds and awareness for prematurity, birth defects, and infant mortality. There is no admission fee, but they will take up donations for the March of Dimes.

Newberry College Professor, Tammy Evans Yonce, is organizing the benefit concert in memory of her niece and nephew, Austin Nicole Evans and Cash Parker Evans, who were born premature. A four mile walk called March for Babies, will also be held April 14 starting at 8:30 a.m. in downtown Newberry, S.C.
