The Newberry College Athletic Club will hold its inaugural Howling Wolf Gala on Saturday, June 8 in the Gnann Room at the Center for Teacher Education on Speers Street.

The event includes dinner, a progressive raffle, a silent auction, and live entertainment featuring singer-songwriter Emily Wells. The evening will begin with a social at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Mexican-style dinner at 6:30. The progressive raffle is scheduled to begin at 7:30, with the grand prize amount set at 25 percent of ticket sales.

 
Tickets to the gala are $100 and include dinner, two beverage tokens, and a raffle entry. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $100. One guest dinner ticket that does not include a raffle entry or drink tickets may be purchased for $20 by a full-price ticket holder.

The first ticket drawn in the progressive raffle received $100 and every 15th ticket drawn thereafter received $100 until five tickets remain. The final five ticket holders can vote unanimously to split the remaining money or continue the drawing, which would yield $200 for the first four tickets drawn and 25 percent of gross ticket sales for the grand prize winner.
