Head Women’s Triathlon Coach

Newberry College is in search of a Head Women’s Triathlon Coach. This is a new sport at Newberry that will begin competition in the fall of 2021. The coach is responsible for all aspects of managing a Division II women’s triathlon program including but not limited to: recruitment of prospective student-athletes; training and development of team 9both academically and athletically); coordinate practice and competition schedules, manage the budget, act as liaison for academics and other departments on campus, and perform other duties as assigned. Newberry College is an NCAA Division II institution and is a member of the South Atlantic Conference.

Newberry College will hire the head coach in the fall of 2020 and hopes to have the coach on campus beginning in January of 2021.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred. Applicants must have coaching and triathlon experience, with preference given to those having collegiate experience and USA Triathlon Coach Certification. Candidates much have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills. Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision and the flexibility to travel, work weekends and evenings when necessary. The selected candidate must successfully pass the annual NCAA recruiting examination.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
