Paint the 'Berry: Homecoming 2025

We are Painting the ‘Berry Scarlet and Gray! This year, we are spreading Scarlet and Gray pride all over Newberry through new events, business partnerships, campus decorating, athletics, and more! The College is excited to welcome all alumni back to campus and will celebrate milestone reunions for the classes of 1975, 1985, 2000, and 2015, plus all classes ending in -0s and -5s will be celebrating their special years.

A Forever Home in Newberry

Newberry College will always hold a special place in my heart—not just because of my own story, but because of the family and lifelong connections it has given me. It’s where I met my husband during my very first week of school, where my little sister found her own path, and where my sister-in-law (my husband’s sister) built her own memories, too. There’s something truly special about sharing such a deep bond with loved ones through the same college experience.

When my husband and I got married, our wedding party was filled with our Newberry friends—proof of just how lasting those relationships are. To this day, my closest friends are the ones I met at Newberry, and they continue to be such a meaningful part of my life.

This year’s Homecoming was especially meaningful. My husband and I were able to bring our three-year-old daughter back to the place where our story began. Watching her play with the children of our classmates, fraternity brothers, and sorority sisters was a full-circle moment—proof that Newberry continues to connect generations in the most beautiful way.

I thank God every day for leading me to Newberry College. It’s where I gained an education, strengthened my faith, learned lessons that shaped who I am, and made friends who became family.
