Guests & Accessibility

Each graduate may bring up to 10 guests to commencement exercises. No tickets will be issued. Seating will be on the west side stands of the athletic stadium, available first-come, first-served. The stadium will open for guest seating at 9 a.m. All guests should be seated no later than 9:45 a.m. No flowers, balloons, food, or drink will be allowed in the stadium. The ceremony will be livestreamed in Wiles Chapel for overflow seating.

In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved to Eleazer Arena, with each graduate allowed six guests and overflow seating available in Wiles Chapel. If there is rain in the forecast, a decision will be made by the close of business on Wednesday, May 10.

A sign language interpreter will be available at the ceremony for hearing-impaired guests. Please contact with questions about guests who need disability seating.

Parking & Campus Bookstore

Parking will be available throughout campus. The Athletic Club parking lot, on the College Street side of the athletic stadium, will be designated parking for visitors with disabilities, with shuttle service into the stadium.

The Newberry College Bookstore will offer a limited selection of alumni apparel, diploma frames and other items, available for purchase in the stadium before and after commencement exercises. The bookstore's Luther Street location will be closed for the day. Shop the bookstore online.
