Shedding Light on Human Trafficking & Exploitation Conference

Join us for the second annual Shedding Light on Human Trafficking & Exploitation Conference, set for Friday, April 4, at the Newberry College Center for Teacher Education, 1121 Speers St. The conference will feature sessions covering every aspect of human trafficking and providing resources on how to recognize and deal with exploitation in a variety of circumstances, including law, business, social services, nonprofits and more.

The event is open to the public and geared toward businesses, professionals and community leaders engaged in helping survivors and bringing offenders to justice. The conference has been approved for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits; South Carolina Law Enforcement Continuing Education credits; and Victim Service Provider credits.

Spaces are limited, with a $50 individual registration fee. A box lunch is included with each registration, catered by Jasmine Kitchen of Greenville, South Carolina, a social enterprise of Jasmine Road, a nonprofit which helps adult women survivors of human trafficking, prostitution and addiction. Lunch orders may be placed as part of the registration form below until Friday, March 21. Any registrations after this date will not include lunch.
